• May 18-20: Forced disappearance for 40 hours. Her family and lawyers do not know her whereabouts.
• May 20: Her location is revealed at the PNC Land Transit Division.

June 2025

• June 2: The Prosecutor's Office changes the charges from embezzlement to illicit enrichment — with no new evidence, no justification. The lack of Ruth López illicit enrichment charges evidence in El Salvador has been widely condemned.
